Zulfatun Bibi: A Visionary Mother’s Struggle and Dream
Zulfatun Bibi, a resilient woman from Goladia Basti, Bhadrak, Odisha, dedicated her life to ensuring a bright future for her son, Meraj Sheikh. Despite hardships, she worked tirelessly to provide him with quality education, leading him to become a computer engineer from NIT Rourkela and later pursue an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, eventually settling in Chicago.
In 2012, she undertook a courageous solo journey to Chicago, where she stayed until 2015. Inspired by the educational opportunities she witnessed, she envisioned empowering rural girls with quality education and technology access. Her story is a testament to a mother’s love and a vision for community upliftment.
ଜୁଲଫତୁନ୍ ବିବି, ଓଡିଶାର ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଗୋଲାଡିଆ ବସ୍ତିରେ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିବା ଏକ ସାହସିକ ଓ ସଙ୍ଘର୍ଷଶୀଳ ମହିଳା, ନିଜ ପୁଅ ମେରାଜ୍ ଶେଖଙ୍କ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ୍ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ କରିବାପାଇଁ ନିଜ ଜୀବନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିଥିଲେ। ବହୁ ସଂଘର୍ଷ ଓ ପ୍ରତିବନ୍ଧକତା ସତ୍ତ୍ୱେ, ସେ ନିଜ ପୁଅଙ୍କୁ ଗୁଣବତ୍ତାଯୁକ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାପାଇଁ ଅବିରତ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯାହା ତାଙ୍କୁ NIT ରାଉରକେଲାରୁ କମ୍ପ୍ୟୁଟର୍ ଇଞ୍ଜିନିୟର୍ ହୋଇବାକୁ ଓ ପରେ ନ୍ୟୁୟୋର୍କ ଇନ୍ଷ୍ଟିଟ୍ୟୁଟ୍ ଅଫ୍ ଟେକ୍ନୋଲୋଜିରୁ MBA କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରେରିତ କଲା, ଏବଂ ଶେଷରେ ସେ ଚିକାଗୋରେ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହୋଇଗଲେ।
୨୦୧୨ ରେ, ସେ ଏକ ସାହସିକ ଏବଂ ଏକାକି ଯାତ୍ରାରେ ଚିକାଗୋ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ ଏବଂ ୨୦୧୫ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେଠି ରହିଲେ। ସେଠି ଦେଖିଥିବା ଶିକ୍ଷାର ସୁଯୋଗଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦ୍ଵାରା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇ, ସେ ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ କନ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୁଣବତ୍ତାପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଏବଂ ଟେକ୍ନୋଲୋଜିର ଅଭିଗମ୍ୟତା ଦେବାକୁ ଏକ ଦୃଢ଼ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ କରିଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ କାହାଣୀ ଜଣେ ମା’ର ଅସୀମ ସ୍ନେହ ଏବଂ ସମାଜକୁ ଉନ୍ନତି କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିକୋଣର ଏକ ପ୍ରମାଣ।

Tabassum Benazeer, originally from Bhadrak, Odisha, made her way to Chicago with a vision beyond personal success. She has been deeply committed to uplift smart and deserving rural Muslim girls by providing them with access to quality education. Understanding the social and financial barriers those girls faced, Tabassum’s mission is not just to help them complete high school and college but to encourage them to pursue higher degrees and realize their full potentials. She believed that education is the key to break cycles of limitation and ensuring a future where those young women could contribute meaningfully to the society.
Tabassum Benazeer: A Visionary for Rural Girls' Education
ଟବସ୍ସୁମ୍ ବେନଜିର୍, ଯିଏ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଭଦ୍ରକରୁ ଆସିଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ନିଜ ସ୍ବୟଂ ସଫଳତା ପାଇଁ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଏକ ଦୃଢ଼ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିକୋଣ ସହିତ ଚିକାଗୋକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲେ। ସେ ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ମୁସଲିମ୍ ଝିଅମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୁଣତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ଉନ୍ନତ କରିବା ପ୍ରତି ଗଭୀର ଭାବେ ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧ। ସେ ଅନୁଭବ କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ସେଇ ଝିଅମାନେ ସାମାଜିକ ଓ ଆର୍ଥିକ ବାଧାବିଚ୍ଛେଦ ମୁହାଁ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ଟବସ୍ସୁମ୍ଙ୍କର ମିଶନ୍ କେବଳ ସେମାନେ ହାଇସ୍କୁଲ୍ ଓ କଲେଜ୍ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବେ ବୋଲି ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ସେମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ସ୍ବୟଂର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସମ୍ଭାବନାକୁ ପୂରଣ କରିବେ ବୋଲି ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରିବା। ସେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିଲେ ଯେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ହେଉଛି ସେଇ ସୀମିତତାର ଚକ୍ରକୁ ଭଙ୍ଗ କରିବାର ଚାବି, ଏବଂ ଏହି ଝିଅମାନେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ସମାଜ ପାଇଁ ଅର୍ଥପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବେ ଅବଦାନ ରଖିପାରିବେ।
Director : Ms. Samima Parween
Ms. Samima Parween, hailing from Goladia Basti, Chandbali in Bhadrak District, is a shining example of resilience and determination. Coming from an extremely poor Muslim family with no support system, she overcame tremendous odds—ranging from severe financial hardship and lack of access to education, to social pressures and threats from local political goons. Despite these challenges, Samima emerged as a successful graduate and dedicated herself to fighting for justice and uplifting the underprivileged. She now leads the Zulfatun International Women Foundation, an NGO committed to empowering smart, deserving, and economically disadvantaged minority girls through education and support.
Behind Samima’s remarkable journey stand her aunt and uncle—Mrs. Tabassum Benazeer and Mr. Meraj Sheikh, based in Chicago, USA. Recognizing Samima’s honesty, resilience, and potential, they became her strongest pillars of motivation and guidance. Their unwavering belief in her helped shape her vision and drive to serve others with the same compassion and courage.
ମିସ୍ ସମିମା ପରବିନ୍, ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଚାନ୍ଦବାଳି ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଘୋଳାଡିଆ ବସ୍ତିରୁ ଆସିଥିବା, ଦୃଢ଼ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ ଓ ଧୈର୍ୟର ଏକ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ ଉଦାହରଣ। ଏକ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଗରିବ ମୁସଲିମ୍ ପରିବାରରୁ ଆସି, ସମିମା କୌଣସି ସହାୟତା ବିନା ଅପାର ଅସୁବିଧା ଓ ଅବରୋଧ ମୁହାଁ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି — ଯାହା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗମ୍ଭୀର ଆର୍ଥିକ ସଂକଟ, ଶିକ୍ଷାର ଅଭାବ, ସାମାଜିକ ଚାପ ଓ ଅଞ୍ଚଳୀୟ ରାଜନୈତିକ ଗୁଣ୍ଡାମାନଙ୍କ ଧମକ ଆଦି ଥିଲା।ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବାଧା ବାବଜୁଦ, ସମିମା ଏକ ସଫଳ ଗ୍ରାଜୁଏଟ୍ ଭାବରେ ଉଭୟେଇଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଗରିବ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ ପୀଡିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ନ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ଉନ୍ନତି ପାଇଁ ନିଜକୁ ସମର୍ପିତ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସେ Zulfatun International Women Foundation ନାମକ ଏକ ଏନଜିଓ ଚଲାଉଛନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଦକ୍ଷ, ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଓ ଆର୍ଥିକ ଭାବେ ଅସମର୍ଥ ଅଲ୍ପସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଝିଅମାନେ ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ସହାୟତା ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି।
ସମିମାଙ୍କ ଏହି ଅପୂର୍ବ ଯାତ୍ରାର ପଛରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ତାଙ୍କ ମାମି ମିସେସ୍ ଟବସ୍ସୁମ୍ ବେନଜିର୍ ଓ ମାମୁ ମିସ୍ଟର୍ ମେରାଜ୍ ଶେଖ୍, ଯିଏ ଚିକାଗୋ, ଆମେରିକାରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ। ସେମାନେ ସମିମାଙ୍କର ସଚ୍ଚାଇ, ଧୈର୍ୟ, ଶକ୍ତି ଓ ସମ୍ଭାବନାକୁ ଚିହ୍ନିଥିଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ପ୍ରେରଣା, ଶକ୍ତି ଓ ଗାଇଡ୍ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲେ। ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଟୁଟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ସମର୍ଥନ ସମିମାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିକୋଣ ଓ ସେବା ମନୋଭାବକୁ ଗଢ଼ି ଦେଇଛି, ଯାହା ସହିତ ସେ ଆଉ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେଇ ପ୍ରେମ ଓ ସାହସ ସହିତ କାମ କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
